Hi....I will be a first year student in about a week. LECOM just sent me a letter saying that our first anatomy quiz is at the end of the first week. Well...could u just give me some feedback on how difficult these quizzes/exams are going to be and how the best way to study is...Especially for the fact that I never took Anatomy in undergrad...

If I remember correctly the first quiz had about 15 questions on it regarding general concepts & the back. While the points are factored into your final grade one of the purposes is to give you a feel for LECOM anatomy questions. If it's the same as last year, everything you need to know for the quiz is contained in Dr Buck's notes which you'll buy from the bookstore during orientation. My overall advice... know specifics.

Don't worry about having not taken anatomy in undergrad - I didn't and I still got an A.
My best advice would be to hit anatomy hard right out of the gate--go in working hard, learn specifics and build your grade. Anatomy just seemed to come easier to a lot of people after the first month or so. Look at exams from last year-your big bro/sis should have those and they help.

Anything else let me know. I know it's a little over a week away, but try and relax this last week.

Thanks for that advice. I will definitely hit that up hard....

Hey...I have to totally agree with what sax and green said...Get your points early on because head and neck is tough.

There are a few of us that will be speaking with your class on MOnday at 3pm about anatomy...so we'll answer all your questions and tell you how we survived it.
