maybe you use UPPERCAPs when you write your Personal Statement?
I was about to say the exact same thing. Punctuation and proper capitalization are very important for personal statements...
Did you both submit at the same time?
Were your apps complete at the same time?
Were your ECs the same?
Letters from the same professors?
Same spin on the big wheel of dental school luck?
Grades and DAT mean a lot, but unless you answered yes to all of those questions you're hardly identical applicants.
And I'm disregarding the personal statement comment. You can't praise your own junk like that.

I have a 22/22/20 with 3.85 o and sGPA. TX resident. Got no interview with 3 TX and 9 OOS schools(well, I applied to many not OOS friendly schools, so not their fault). I still can't figure out why TX schools don't like my application. With TX's average, shouldn't I at least get one interview!?
This year, I also applied to TX and a lot more OOS schools and got no TX interview so far, but 5 OOS interviews that I hadn't applied to last year.
My stats are about the same with a few more community college classes and more shadowing hours. Random things happen. I am sure you will go somewhere 🙂

Every school has different criteria and have different "taste" if you will. Your stats are good, so I think you have nothing to worry about!! 🙂 Try to be HAPPY for your friend... not negative about it.

Not to mention the impressive grammatical skills... for the love of all that is holy, please use a comma every now and then. Periods also work great, hell i would even take a hyphen.
In all seriousness though, just be patient i assure you that you will receive plenty of interviews. Just don't blow it, by coming off as a pompous ass as your posts have implied.
And why aren't you just congratulating your friend? You realize you can't do anything else at this point? You realize you had 3+ years of undergrad/post-bacc/whatever to make your application attractive enough to garner interviews? Your stats are fine. You may still get an interview, but if I were you, I'd learn some humility before going in front of an adcom.

it's not all about GPA and DAT score.
with that attitude, u are not gonna get in anywhere. plus u probably applied other schools. why sweat so much

Just call the admissions office and politely ask if they can reject you. Problem solved.

Considering LECOM is using this "problem-based learning" curriculum, I would imagine that they put a strong emphasis on the RC section.
And also consider..
Extracurricular activities, volunteering, dental experience, etc.
Nonetheless, I'm sure the most upsetting part is that your friend got an interview and you didn't. I assure you that your pride will be restored when all the other dental schools pick you over him for interviews...

He is my close friend and I helped him a lot for his application , I got interview from Midwestern but they rejected him , ALSO I know what his P.S is about , I hope he will get in to this school 🙂 BUT I am really surprise why should a dental school choose lower DAT (18 17 16 )and put on hold a 21 DAT , This is what I do not understand at all , I call it luck !👎 (AND again in all area I think I did better than him = 150 hrs shadowing , he did 100 , I have work experience in hospital for over 3 years and he does not have any )
I know someone who had AA 25 and GPA 3.8 and he didn't get interviews at every school applied. If scores were everything, people with DAT under 25 and GPA under 4.0 would never have a chance.
You have an interview and so does your friend, just not at the same schools. You should be happy. You'll have more interviews to come, don't let something like this get you so frustrated. Make use of that energy and prep for your interview. Good luck!

Maybe they think you settled for dentistry because you didn't get into medical school?
Yeah, I heard that schools can find out if you applied to med. I don't know if they have a legit way of finding out if they don't point blank ask on their secondary.... =S
