hi guys

could somebody help me out here please ...............

are the lecture videos for usmle and nbde same or different

are the lecture notes for usmle and nbde same or different

if they are different which ones are better

i have the nbde review notes but i have a problem understanding from them so i am of the assumption that the lecture notes and videos would be helpful [correct me if i am wrong] ..........

I have not seen nbde videos.
Only usmle videos are available.
If u r nt able to understand something from nbde review book you can consult your text books /, usmle notes,/ usmle videos ,/ wikipedia anything thats convenient.
To know the subject is most important from which ever source.

thank you for replying ..............are you sure that there are no nbde videos at all ...........yes i could refer to the usmle notes and videos but there is so much in the usmle material that it sometimes makes me wonder if such indepth information is required for nbde..........i am of the opinion that if there were something like nbde lecture notes where explanations are given for what is required for the nbde it would be much time saving

There ARE videos for nbde also however they are VERY VERY basic. They dont teach anything that you cant figure out yourself. Dont waste your time looking for the nbde videos.

thank you for replying

i dunno maybe all.....listen the thing is that i just cannot retain facts i need to understand the subject........as far as i am concerned the review notes of kaplan are jus points reading that doesnt help me much so..... i was looking for something which would give a bit of explanation but its not that i have to start from abc.....i do have some idea its just that i am not able to read from the kaplan review notes........they are like as if somebody is reading out me my rights..hope u get me

Hi, maybe I should try to answer a bit about the lectures. When you applied for kaplan course, you can see those movies (lectures), I did mostly usmle ones because the dental ones were not too many, but at the same time, the USMLE lectures were way more than the NBDE topics we should know.

Now, that I am not a Kaplan student anymore, I found out that watching lectures from youtube is a great way to study, for example : biochemistry lectures from the indian professor, she is quite good, then dr. goodman's anatomy and physiology lectures are wonderful, what you need to do just search... it really helps a lot before you read the materials (first aid, dental board busters, dental decks and ASDA released exams)...

Hope this help.

i agree with blissonearth. Even i was searching for videos for NBDE but did not found out as like medical USMLE. But there are certainly good lectures on youtube which you can see. Also i agree that USMLE lectures are far too much for us. Easy way is ..just surf you tube, wiki and USMLE videos (if still not satisfied) . this all means is just additional. You should stick to your basic books.
