So I recently left my undergrad research position because there was absolutely no room for advancement. It was a social science alzheimer's related study that basically used undergraduates for nothing more than making calls and fixing schedules. I did that for around 2 semesters.

Now I have two options but I really don't know which to do. One is a summer program offered by my Uni that basically guarantees a publication by the end of the summer. The second is another year-long cell research (bench basically) position, but actual experience, but no publication.

I'm definitely not looking to apply to a MD-PhD program, so what do you guys think I should go with? Appreciate the help.

If you're looking to beef up your CV go with the summer program. If you might see yourself doing bench research in med school then the cell bio position would give you a better foundation / skill set.

Guaranteed publication ftw. Just make sure you get to know your PI well so he can write you a glowing LOR to supplement your AMCAS description and pub.
