lefties - trouble with dry erase?

i saw a similar thread posted a year ago, but no one answered the question. are there any left-handers out there that found they had trouble with smearing what they wrote while taking the test? i've been trying to practice, but it's really awkward.

I'm here with you. I'm a lefty and using the board is a pain for me bc i was smearing a lot. Only way i found to get used to it is to practice, especially for the QR/gchem.

I'm not sure if it's helpful but the way i have to do calculations is having the side of my left hand somewhat lifted from the board (part of palm edge that will smear the calculations). It's terrible.

Another way I tried out is to keep writing to the right until you cant write anymore without having to glide your left hand, which will cause smearing. When you need to shift/slide your hand forward, just lift it and replant it back at a new position on the board. It minimizes smearing but you need to practice because its difficult to break the habit of sliding your hand across.

I'm a lefty and I was fine. Just practice at home by not pressing your hand on the dry erase board

OMG! This is crazy okay so check it out - lol - I have a friend that got into DS for this fall 2009 - she is a lefty! this is hilarious .... i thoguht she was full of crap, til I just read your post, haha!

She told the Prometric director that she was lefty and it smeared..so THEY GAVE HER A PENCIL AND PAPER! perhaps you will get to be lucky like that? lol....

My Kaplan instructor is telling as that we should practice holding the mouse with the "left hand" and write with the right hand since day 1 of the class--to save time!
