Do you guys think being a legacy (my dad) of msucom will make me a stronger candidate?

It can help, but it isn't going to be the deciding factor.
My letter was from an alumni of the only school that I was waitlisted at so far. Oh boo...or something like that. 🙂I talked to the director of admissions at a certain medical school. I was told that the legacies had their files flagged and reviewed separately. I was also told that a LOR from an alumni carries a lot of weight. So, to answer your question...yes, although it probably depends somewhat on the school. However, if you have a 2.3 GPA and a 12 total on the MCAT I don't think even being a legacy will help. I would just make sure that they are aware of your connection and then wait and see what happens.
