In general, is there a subjective cutoff as it relates to how long an individual engages in an activity (volunteering, research, shelter work, ect.) and its inclusion on ones application irrespective of how meaningful it might be to the person?? 1 year/6months/3months? Thanks in advance.

There is no minimum. If something was meaningful to you and you feel that its inclusion is needed to accurately evaluate your application, then you should include it (either on the primary application and/or secondary application). Just my thoughts.
