Hey everyone,

I'm taking my test next Friday at 7:30 am. First off I am starting my "get on the right sleep schedule" tonight up until the test.

I took my 3rd Achiever practice test today, which was also my last one. From what I've been reading, I decided it was best not to take an achiever during the last week as it'd may crush my confidence.

Anyways, here are my scores.

Bio/GC/OC/TS/PAT/QR/RC/AA
Test 1: 14, 21, 18, 17, 16, 21, 16, 18
Test 2: 14, 18, 17, 16, 18, 23, 18, 18
Test 3: 15, 18, 17, 17, 18, 21, 17, 18

I got to say that the Keyholes on Achiever are RIDICULOUS! I seriously can't tell whether things go beyond the base that they are attached or not, and I'm literally getting like 5/15 right on average, and it's REALLY frustrating. I normally score 21-22 on CDP, so idk what's going on there.

I'm really nervous about Bio. The questions seem really random and I hate the format where they give you 4 options and then have you choose between all the different combinations. I can only narrow it down to two options, but I somehow always pick the wrong one! (i.e. I chose I, II, and III when the right answer was I and II)

Some of the Gen Chem questions are really challenging and require a lot of math (especially the ones that just give the density and want you to find the MW, I hate those)

Some of the ochem is tricky, I feel like there are a few questions where two could be the right answer, and yet I always choose the wrong one (when it could be either E2 or Sn2)

Reading Comprehension is ridiculous. I literally get the biggest headache after reading the passages, especially the one about the Nervous System! Search and Destroy clearly doesn't work for these, and a lot of questions require you to bring knowledge on your own, or at least it would be a stretch for them to say that you have to "infer" something.

Math is honestly pretty easy for me. Some of the questions though are a bit unfair, but I find quite a few of them to be considerably easy (especially the ones where you just compare fractions or find a simple percentage...)

I honestly don't know if I'm ready to take it next week. I keep reading posts about people doing a lot better than their Achiever scores, but then again I also read some where people don't do as well.

My plan for the next week is to go through Destroyer again (especially Bio) and make sure I know how to do all the problems that I got wrong. I am also going to make study cheat sheets for GC and Math to make sure that I know the formulas (I always forget seem to forget q=mcT as well as T=Kmi). I have a HUGE stack of flashcards I made from Cliffs Bio, like literally 500+.

Any other suggestions? Any advice? Any encouragement? I'd really appreciate anything you guys have to offer!

Hey so I just took my DAT yesterday. So first off, here's my scores. PA: 20, QR: 19, RC: 25, Bio: 17 🙁, GC: 18, OC: 20, TS: 18, AA: 20. They aren't too good so take my advice how you'd like.

Biology is stupid hard. It's so random and everything asked on the test I've never seen before. For me, PAT was so much simpler than Achievers PAT, except for angle ranking. The reason I got a 20 is because I'm pretty sure I missed every angle ranking question. Also, before your test during 15 min demo, create all your boxes for the hole punching section. For Ochem, chads videos is great. Know Sn2 E2 stuff well, definitely know electrophilic aromatic addition and electron withdrawing groups. Also, get familiar with ranking acids and bases, i never got a good grasp on this and i may have lose a few points because of this. For math, I wrote down all the formulas I could remember and a little table with sin cos values for certain degrees, all during that 15 min demo. Chemistry was my strongest subject going into the test but unfortunately I got more perceptual questions than math questions so that's why I scored low. I'm sure I could do better if I retake but I don't think I will be. Biggest thing is to def relax during the test, get a good meal before, and don't lose track of time. Answer everything you know first and then go back if you have to. Goodluck!

I don't know what scores you're aiming for, but you seem to be in really good shape for the test. Biology can definitely be improved tremendously within a week. Also, I actually remember that nervous system passage in achiever...it was laughably hard. At least for me, the real RC wasn't that difficult, so don't get too caught up with it.

Regarding those GC formulas you mentioned, I find those the easiest to remember since one of them looks like "MCAT" and the other looks like "Kim"

Are we allowed to write during 15min tutorial?
