Let Chatelier and Temp

I'm not sure if this is correct:

If stress Increases Temp --> want to shift left (towards reactant)
If stress Decreases Temp --> want to shift right (towards product)

I think exothermic is bond forming while endothermic is bond breaking so is it right to say that when you shift left (towards reactant) it is endothermic? While if you shift right (towards product), it is exothermic?

Can someone correct me on this?
 
Think of heat as being either a reactant or a product, depending on whether the reaction is endothermic or exothermic. Increasing the temperature of a reaction is equivalent to adding heat and decreasing the temperature of a reaction is the equivalent of removing heat.

So for example:

x + heat --> y

In that case, if the stress is increased temp, we want to go to the side that would lower the heat. In that case, would reaction go towards right since going left would produce heat?

Not sure if that's right.

Yes, exactly. Heat is exactly like any other reagent (e.g. x) and so you can apply Le Chatelier's to it the same way you would apply it to any other reagent. Add heat = push reaction right.

Cool! Thanks! I got confused when I read something about exothermic/endothermic online that threw off what I knew about Le Chatelier.
