from my experience, if you hassle them enough they will ambiguously hint the outcome to you. However, how you interpret these hints is another issue! Basically what I did was I asked the admissions officer if doing a masters would make me more competitive and that if I should apply for a masters program for the upcoming fall not knowing if I was in or not.... she just basicallly told me to wait and good luck *wink* *wink*...and the rest is history I guess. Honestly, it got to the point where I was so stressed out about the whole application process that I was getting an hour of sleep a night and I HAD TO KNOW! ANY INFORMATION WOULD'VE HELPED ME SLEEP A LITTLE BETTER!
