I think it would be aviation, who doesn't love flying and looking at the scenery

Dude, seriously.. you need to CHILL and stop SPAMming the board with the same topic over and over again.

You're not in college yet, don't you have a year or two before you even have to declare a major? Just go in there, take some classes and see what you like. Good lord man, you've been asking the same thing over and over again.

And if you want aviation, go to Embry-Riddle down in Florida. And it's more than just flying.. you're learning the systems, management, flight patterns, laws, etc..

physical education. you just play around all day.

Uhh, what typical 4-year college offers aviation as a course for non-ROTC people?

The easiest and most fun major at your college will be the one that all the scholarship football players are in.

i did not mean it that it had no work in it. I just meant that you have something to enjoy after doing the work.

Social ecology or psychology... they are the easiest at my school.

Difficult classes were the exception in psych and bio. While I wouldn't recommend majoring in either of them, I think if you take the right classes in psych (stats, methodology, and honors seminars with research components) or the right classes in bio (ditto) they can prepare you for a career in science.

I would caution against picking a major that is fun or easy. Guidance counselors and college advisors will tell you to follow your heart and to choose the major that you find most interesting, regardless of whether or not there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. These people are out of touch, or wouldn't mind working at Pizza Hut, which is where you'll spend the year after you graduate summa cum laude with a double major in worthlessness and futility.

Naturally, there is a bit less pressure on those of us entering medicine. My MD is going to be a lot more important for my career than the BS I've got hanging on the wall. But right now, I'm sort of dead to the job market. August can't get here fast enough.

And scholarship basketball players. I watched NCAA March Madness one year and some of those basketball players majored in Speech Communications, Family Science, and Broadcast Journalism. You don't see too many college basketball players majoring in Biochemistry, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.

all the sportsy people here major in kinesiology. i think either that or psychology/sociology would be easiest. general studies is another good winner, though, but at the same time a totally pointless major.

HAHA, I'm going to steal that line and pawn it off as my own 😛

The easiest majors are generally the ones that are jam packed with the URMs at my school. These majors include ethnic studies, african-american studies, chicano-studies, and sociology. It's almost sad in a way...these people got INTO this school partially because they were of a particular minority..then they choose to major in the easiest, BS majors because they know they'll just fail out if they choose a major in engineering, physical sciences, biological sciences, etc.

One of the chicano studies major I know even TOLD me this to explain why URMs are virtually ABSENT from all engineering and science courses on this campus. In my upper division biology classes, practically 100% of the students come from 3 major demographics: white, asian (including East Indian), and Middle Eastern. I have yet to be in a single lab in chemistry or biology that has a SINGLE URM in it (URM=african american or hispanic american). There was one URM in my general chemistry lab back in freshman year..and she promptly dropped the course right after the first midterm...so I'm assuming that she just got a 100% on the midterm (the mean for that midterm was a 71 I think) and didn't want the rest of us to feel bad when we found out her score..so she dropped 🙄 🙄

All of the football players are also stuffed into the aformentioned basketweaving majors (ethnic studies, african-american studies, etc). I don't want this thread to degenerate into an AA debate...but I'm wondering why they would squander the wonderful opportunity they've been given (yes...the university gave them the opportunity..for the rest of us non-URMs..we had to EARN said opportunity) to study something as worthless and pointless as ethnic studies.

I wonder if someone were to pour water on you... if you'd simply melt?

🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

IS ALL OF THIS REALLY NECESSARY? According to my understanding of the O.P., Sherif asked about the easiest and most enjoyable major that you would have liked to have while in college...If you need to iron out some issues, then please do so in another thread...THIS IS NOT AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION THREAD, so why try and turn it into one??

Spelunking, of the vaginal sorts.
