We should start our own d-school. Tuition is $200,000 a year. Everyone who applies is accepted! Come on, living without the stress of getting into d-school is priceless. Not sure about stressfree when you see 200K first monthly bill. Isn't dental school main purpose is just to give clinical experience and prepare you for the board exam...I wonder what happens if you don't pass board and owe 200k?

You have to look at it in a positive light. You're going to be a dentist and that's all that matters, right? What if the adcoms asked you during an interview how much you would be willing to pay to go to dental school?

Imagine the guy doing Oral Maxillo Surgery...he has to get the DDS (4) years + MD (8-9) years which is equiv to whatever gazillion expense you incur x3...and if he don't pass his MD exam or surg ...double DOH!! Maybe this where the saying "Dentist have highest rate of suicide" comes from due to so much debt.
