I called Buffalo today and they said that my application has been reviewed and that I would be getting a letter soon. I asked them is that "good news or bad news?" but she said that she's not at liberty to discuss it. Now, I know that most schools communicate via e-mail....but in the tradition of scraping the bottom of the barrel named "hope"...did anyone get interviews via snail mail?

My interview invite from Buffalo came via e-mail. Sorry Rayhan. But don?t lose all hope yet. You never know until you open the letter. Good luck.

I got an email and then snail mail, just last week - but I declined. Hope you get the spot!

It's a rejection. Interviews come by e-mail.

The word "letter" may not necessarily remove the chance for an email invitation. You can receive "letters" via email.

To the OP: Just sit tight. You'll find out soon.

Does anyone know what the chances are of being interviewed out of the "intermediate" group?

Someone on this site got an invite after being in that group. So apparently it does happen! Good luck :luck:

That's false. I received an interview invitation by both email and snail mail.
I meant you recieve an email interview invite FIRST and then a snail mail invite. That's the way I was invited. If you get JUST snail mail, then it's probably a rejection.

Is this the case for everyone?

I got the same "we sent you a letter" and my rejection came on Monday. Hope your situation is different.
