I was wondering, would a school still invite you for an interview even if you don't have the exact types of letters they require? For example, I have a letter from a professor, a dentist, and a volunteer coordinator. Since I've been out of school for two years, it's kind of difficult for me to get another meaningful science letter. Does anyone have experience not exactly meeting a school's letter of reference requirements but being invited for an interview or even accepted anyways?

Im in the same boat as you, but I just emailed some old professors explaining my situation and asked them to write about the rigors of their class and how my grade stacked up against others. Not a strong letter, but meets the requirements and you can rely on the strength of your other letters to carry you.

That's right. The ADCOM should understand your situation and would certainly give you a fair chance. That's also part of the reasons why they would require the pre-requisites done within the past five years.
