To whom are y'all adressing LOI's? The Dean of Admissions? the admissions committee? i just want to make sure it gets to the place and someone actually reads it.

Yep, I did too, but I kind of changed my mind afterwards and I think any subsequent letters will be sent to the Dean. It seems like that's what most people do. Any other thoughts? 😕
I would aim it directly towards the dean of admissions because that person's thoughts about your app probably weigh the most. but i wouldn't do it if i didn't talk to them. if you really connected to an interview, go for the interviewer. however, keep in mind that at some schools, the interviewers aren't part of the adcom. if you didn't connect to anyone there, then go with the simple "dear admissions committee"
It makes the most sense to address a letter of intent to the people who will decide whether to let you into their medical school, i.e., the admissions committee. Writing to the Dean of Admissions doesn't necessarily hurt, but unless the dean has the final say and/or the most influence on admissions decisions (which varies among medical schools), I don't think it would be particularly advantageous to send it directly to the dean. The safe thing would be to address it directly to the admissions committee. Any letter you send to the dean will likely go directly into your file for committee review anyway.
