hey there. I am planning on hand delivering a letter of intent? Is this too much? Also, what’s the format? Like should it be in an envelope? Those long envelopes? Anything on the outside? Sealed? How does it work

By letter of intent do you mean a letter that expresses your continued interest in the school? If so, then it's hard to know how a gesture like that is going to be interpreted, but I think hand delivery is going to make you look desperate. Imagine how you would feel if someone that wanted something from you just showed up somewhere they knew you would be. It's not a good look. Just put it in the mail or send an e-mail.

If it's a letter detailing your intent to attend a school that has accepted you, then hand delivery is fine and the format isn't really important as long as it says that you accept their offer and are planning on attending their school.

The legal size letter/envelope should have a 2K Cashier's Check stapled to it. Otherwise

I want to send a letter of intent to a school that I am on waitlist for after interviewing. I don’t know if I should email it. Or if I should type it and put in an envelope and hand deliver it. Or even if there is proper format with headers and such. that is what I’m asking

You mean the answers you received were not explicit enough?

A'ight. There is no agreed upon format because it is arguably not officially a part of the admissions process. Personally I would recommend writing an e-mail for several reasons; it it instant, it can be easily added to your file (which is likely not physical), and several schools requested an e-mail if we were going to write a letter or thank-you note.

I would (and did) format it like a business e-mail:

Their name,

Several short and charming paragraphs describing why I wanted to go there and summarizing what I had achieved since applying.

Sincerely,
My name

PS: hope this helps!
