Looking at the school requirements for the one I am applying to it says letters must be submitted from someone who can be objective about your work - my co-worker offered to write me a strong letter and is a veteran in my field but I read somewhat somewhere that co-worker letters are bad.

The school in question is KU. Does anyone have any advice or insight?

If your coworker can write an objective but strong letter about your abilities, go for it. Especially if your coworker has experience in the field and can testify about why you will be successful also.

She's worked in the field for years and has a PhD. I just remember reading an article on here where the guy said no to letters from co-workers.
