Letter of Recommendation Question

For those of you who have applied to both allopathic and osteopathic medical schools, did you use the same academic LORs for both schools or did you have the recommenders customize one for {allopathic} medical school and another for osteopathic medical school. Or is it acceptable to have the recommender just write “recommend to medical school” as a broad terms to apply to both types of schools?

I sent (my pre-med advisor sent) the same thing to both schools.

For the osteo schools I am applying to I got three DO's to write recommendation letters and I am sending those letters directly to the schools, my commitee letter from my school went out to all the schools, those letters included three profs and one from the dean of health professions. I found two alumni from the allo school I want to go to and had them mail Rec letters directly to the admissions office. I also got a state representative to send a letter directly to the presidents office of the allo school I want to go to, hopefully all these recs will lead to an acceptance somewhere.

question can u use a nurse as a clinican rec. for like if u want to apply to WVSOM and do u think its to late to send out my app to New England, I have a feeling I need to apply to more schools or I'll end up in the carribean

To the DO schools I used three professors and a DO. For the MD schools I used the three professors and one different professor then used an M.D. Three of the four profs and the doc for that MD school are alumni. But I still haven't gotten an invite to interview. 🙁
