If i have four letters of recommendation, does pharmcas send all 4 to the schools? If some schools only read 3 or 2, how do we know which one they will be reading? Is there an option somewhere on the website that i get to pick which letters will be going to what school? Thankx

this question was asked awhile back, you can try searching for it. but im pretty sure the school supp will ask you which are your LOR writers' names, and read those respective letters. if school does not ask for LOR writers' names, then they'll read all 4

Hello OP,

be careful with sending 4 LORs. check your school's policy on LORs. I know of at least one school who automatically rejects applicants if they dont receive exactly 2 LORs. More is not better (to that school).

THey also dont want you to send pcat scores to them, only to pharmcas.
This is what the admissions counselor said at the information session:

"And DONT send your pcat scores to [this school]. Send them to pharmcas. Follow directions! We got one student who sent his scores here last week, and guess what? He's gettin' rejected. Follow directions!"

Best of luck!

Both of those schools sound antagonistic and petty ... were the adcoms made up of disgruntled drill sergeants from Parris Island or something? Sheesh!

Does this mean i should go ahead and send all 4 LOR to the pharmcas? I mean i can't send them seperately b/c schools get everything from Pharmcas.

jet- lol, it was only the admissions counselor who was uptight, the rest of the school is nice. It kind of scared the **** out of me at the time, though.

OP, did your recommenders fill out the electronic form from pharmcas, or did they write a separate physical letter? They have to write the letter through PharmCAS, not through you mailing their letters to pharmcas.

Go to the LOR tab in your pharmCAS application and input your professors contact info so they can receive the form in their email.

OP - I'm a little confused by your response.
How does "be careful submitting more than 2 LORs" translate into "so I should go ahead and send in all 4 letters to pharmcas" ?

You should call your schools first and ask them if it is okay to submit 4 LORs to pharmcas. If they say okay, then you can submit all 4 LORs to pharmcas.

hope that helps
(HTH)

Is it kinda annoying to them if i keep asking the admission ppl to many questions? I dont' want them to think i'm ******ed or illiterate.

They get paid to answer questions/participate in the admissions process. If they're receptive to questions, ask them. Not all admissions folks are created equal, and if you're fortunate and find one like Ms. Semler at UoP who is very dedicated to helping students find their way, abuse the hell out of it!

I sent a card to her, LOL...
