Whats the exact process for an evaluator to post a LOR on pharmcas? I was wondering whether it has to be on a letterhead or does it get posted on Pharmcas straight because my prof. emailed me her letter and it doesn't have a letterhead.

How many LOR's are good to request? 4 or 3 - as required by most schools.
Thank you.

PharmCAS uses electronic LORs so you will need to provide PharmCAS with a contact e-mail address for the individuals you want to write you a LOR. PharmCAS will e-mail a link to your evaluator where they can fill out the LOR electronically. I believe you could also mail PharmCAS your LORs and they will add it to your application, but that process is very tedious.

The number of LORs does depend on each school, so just be sure you have enough. I got 3 when I applied.

Thank you dballa1. I did add her on the Pharmcas. I was just curious as to whether a LOR without a letter head was acceptable. I guess if they have to use a online process, they do not have to worry about that.

This is correct. You provide the name and email of a LOR writer. The writer gets an email with a link to the pharmcas evaluator website and a username/password. When they open it up, there is a section for info on how they know student (how long, what capacity, etc.), another section that says numerically rank the applicant in the following categories, a section that says in so many words or less please describe this applicants aptitude and abilities and etc, then another section that says something like in so many words or less please describe anything else about the applicant that is relevant. Those latter two sections are the formal "letter of recommendation." To complete them, you just type directly or copy and paste a letter into them. There is no ability to include official letterhead in the process.
