does a letter that recommends for the purpose of grad school/professional school and not med school specifically hurt your chances?

the letter writer knows that i am applying to med, according to our schools' letter service, it means that there was no specific "med school"wording on the letter.. but most likely a more generic term like graduate school or school

I can't give you a Y or N as to whether it would hurt you, but what you may want to think about doing is asking your letter writer if they have your letter saved electronically or even on paper. If so, then kindly ask if they would tailor it up for medical school admissions. If you plan on applying this cycle I'd say you have some time to get this resolved.

Hope this helps.

are there any other advices? appreciate it! i just confirmed my letter writer said that she recommended on academia in general. i was thinking it shouldnt be a problem since i will have other letters including one from my EC that will comment more on my personality and other traits...
