Hi, I searched for this but could not find it. My application has been submitted and verified. I am just waiting on AMCAS to receive my letters and then send them to the school. My question is that will it take AMCAS a long time to process my letters and send them to the medical school I am applying to? Because I am doing EDP, so the deadline is August 1. Although I think this deadline is just for the actual verified AMCAS application.

The LORs are part of the secondary, not primary, application, so they won't delay your primary. The August 1 deadline should be for the primary, but check with the school to make sure. I also haven't heard of AMCAS taking any real time to process LORs; it is verification of the primary application that is the bottleneck delaying applications. After the letters are sent to AMCAS, it shouldn't take long for them to be available to the schools. :luck:
