Letters of Rec? (1 science)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hello! I currently have the following LORs:

1 from PI (psychiatry research)
1 biology professor
1 neuroscience ethics professor
1 biopsych professor

Is 1 science LOR okay? Or is that looked upon poorly?

Is this in the context of a committee letter or individual letters? For individual letters some schools require 2 science faculty. Although I believe you have 2 - biology and neuroscience. Even if you took neuroscience ethics with the professor, if he is a neuroscience faculty member then I'd think he fits the description.

MSAR/School website will tell you the requirements for each school. A lot of schools require 2 science prof letters explicitly. Bio + biopsych might count as 2 science letters tho.

Thank you! I didn't know exactly how to classify biopsych. I'll probably classify it as biology then.

The way you classify your classes in AMCAS just determines how they are used for GPA purposes. Adcoms won't use that as a way of determining LOR critera, that is something they do on their own.
