I've started asking my letter writers and I want to give them about a month or so to write a good letter. This is the only aspect of my application left. I was wondering if it would be possible to send my primary application w/o indicating my letters of rec and just update the application later?? That way I can get started on my application getting verified.

Yeah, you can add LORs at any time. Go ahead and get verified.

Exactly. You don't have to have your letters uploaded to your primary app before getting it verified and sending it off. Just make sure you have everything squared away for secondary season. It doesn't sound like you'll have any issues as this is the last step for you in the whole process excluding secondary essays and interviewing.

You can add/assign letters after you've submitted or have been verified.

What about submitting secondaries. Can you submit your part of the secondary if the school doesn't have your letter of rec yet? I am waiting on a committee letter but other than that I have secondaries ready to go.

You can, but most won't consider you complete until the LOR's are in, so you won't get an interview invite or anything like that.

I have decided to complete the secondaries, but not submit them until the LOR's are ready. I don't know if this changes anything or not, but I figured that I might as well make it so that I can change it as much as I want before final submission.

If the adcoms examined the secondary prior to receiving LORs or if submitting the secondary without LORs would affect you "place in line" then I guess it would be better to submit the secondary without the LORs.

Does anyone know if you submit your secondary if that puts you in line for review, or do you have to be complete to be "in line"?
