This year I am planing to apply to a large number of med schools (almost 20) and will soon be asking for letters of recommendation. Should I tell my references to include the name of the med school in the letter? For example: "I am writing this letter to support ReginaldYee in applying to (insert med school name here)." I feel like this is a good idea, but since I am applying to so many schools, its a huge burden for my references to make 20 different copies of the letter. Also I'm hesitant to ask them to do so since they've already gone out of their way to write the letter in the first place.
Anyways, is including the name of the med school in the letter something that referees typically do, or do they just leave it generic? Should I ask my references to include the name of the med school in the letter?

No, don't have them list the specific school. You'll send the same letter to every school.
Agreed ^

Omg lol you would need her to upload 20 different letters and pray you don't mix up the letters... Lol

haha true, I'm wasn't exactly sure how the uploading process works, like if they upload one letter for all schools or separate letters for each school. but one letter for all schools makes the most sense!
