Sup guys,

I've been looking through the boards and saw that most people have their letters of rec from science professors. My 2 letters of rec right now are from an Af-Am teacher and the Director of Campus Organizations. I have a third one on the way from my research professor, but won't have it til the beginning of September. Is this going to be a problem?

Also a lot of people were talking about getting their letters from committees. How do you get one of these letters?

If your school doesn't have a committee, you don't need to send one in.

Schools usually require 2 science profs + 1 non-science prof as requirements.

those letters won't be sufficient for a lot of schools. you need to get 2 science letters (they should both be from someone who you took a class with and got graded and one at least should be from your major) and a non-science letter. everything else is considered just extra. if you follow this guideline, you should be able to meet the LOR requirements for the vast majority of schools.
