Hey guys sorry if this has been answered before. Is it ok for me to send a committee letter and one additional letter from a PI? This would be for schools that give the options of either a committee letter, or the usual number of individual letters. Thanks for the help!

Will your committee letter include your PI's letter of recommendation attached? This is usually the case for students that have conducted research.

It is alright to send letters externally. I sent my committee letter + a handful of letters externally for professors/jobs that did not understand or preferred to bypass the committee process.

No yeah it would be separately. I just didn't get his letter in time for it to be attached to the committee one from my school. Thanks for the reply!
