Hi everyone I am a little confused in regards to the difference between using a pre-med committee as opposed to sending the LORs with AMCAS or Portfolio or any other type of middleman program. I got all my proffs to upload their letters to AMCAS and I was just wondering is that really bad to use (as in do I have to use my schools pre-med committee?)

From what I understand most schools prefer a "committee letter" however if your school doesn't provide that then you don't HAVE to use your schools' letter service. The only problme you might have with only submitting your letters to AMCAS is if you applied to a school that doesn't use the AMCAS letters service.

you dont HAVE to use your schools pre-med committee, though if your school has one and you dont use it, it raises questions. Be prepared to say why you didnt use it.
