Letting schools know you shadowed "name" dentists?

Hey guys,

I've shadowed quite a few dentists that are a professor at a certain school. A dentist that I shadowed for said to go drop off a portfolio at the school with all the dentists that I've shadowed/when I was there/what I saw.

Is this a good idea? Sounds a little tooly to me..lol

Cross your fingers that the "certain professor" you shadowed at a "certain school" is on a first name basis with the adcom members.
