Hey everyone,
I went through all of general chemistry from Chad's videos, but I am still stumbling on Lewis structure. I understand Lewis structure for the most part, but there are some things in my notes that I just do not get.
In my notes, it would say "Boron wants to make 3 bonds, Carbon 4 bonds, Nitrogen 3 bonds, Oxygen 2 bonds, and etc." Does this mean that Oxygen for example will only form 2 bonds max and the rest would be lone pairs to fulfill the octet rule (8 valence e's).
