I bought a PDA phone to use one of these.

I installed both in my PDA (trial version w/ limitation) but don;t know which one is better.

+ One more question.
I was going to buy LexiComp but dang... it's soooo expensive (almost $300!!)~ Is there any way to get it at cheaper price?

Which one are you guys using? LexiComp? Tarascon? or something else?

I haven't heard of Tarascon, but it's nice to know there's another option out there.

My school only ever tells us about Lexi--they have reps here constantly, but they do offer a discount if you buy in like the 30 days after their visit. That brings the price to ~$230 I think. Check to see if your school offers a similar program.

You also get a discount through APHA

If you join CPha at http://cpha.com/, you can get a great deal for Lexicomp complete

Membership fee = 25$
Lexicomp complete = 85$
Lexicomp selection = 25$

I use Tarascon pocket book for Pharmacopoeia only.

You can also download for free at http://www.epocrates.com/. This one has the overview of Rx. It is useful in community setting because it has prices for each med 🙂

For the most part I like having Lexi Comp loaded on my Dell Axim Pocket PC. However, none of the products have anything extensive on TPN stuff. That's my only point of contention with Lex-Comp.

Can any intern join the California Pharmacy Association or do you have to be a resident of CA?

I'm in GA but would love to take advantage of the great deal on Lexicomp Complete!

Does anyone know how much Lexicomp is through CPhA this year, as this posting was 13 months ago? Thanks!

CPhA and APhA have partnered up to offer the APhA member prices to CPhA members. It doesn't say whether or not it's the member discount (5%) or the student member discount (18%).

If your school has any deals with Lexi-Comp, you can usually get the discount they offer through them. Lexi-COMPLETE is $175 for a 1-year subscription if they do.
