Liability is usually a graded scale and can start off as low as $500-600 and can increase to $2000 or so as you age. There are many different insurance companies offering it. If you are an associate or plan to associate find out if your employer pays it for you and if they don't find out who they use.

Ask around for a new graduate discount. I paid about $600/year my 1st year out.
