Hi all, I had a question regarding reading slides in one state which are coming from another state. Say for example my lab is in Indiana, what if I want to read slides from a provider in KY. Do I need to be licensed in KY to do this, or because I am reading and preparing the slide in IN I just need an IN license?
I can't find good details about which states require you to be licensed and which don't. I do know from talking with a few people at larger labs (Ameripath, etc) that they do tend to license their physicians in several states.
I am going to be working as an independent contractor at a lab and hoping to expand to get specimens from a few physicians in adjacent states. Thanks for the advice in advanced.
