Pre-Pharmacy
The other night at around 10 pm I rode with my husband to pick up a prescription at the 24 hr pharmacy. He pulled up to the window and started talking to the pharmacist and proceeded to ask her multiple questions about his medications and tell her things about himself and then he even went to far as to tell her that I wanted to go to pharmacy school! I was laughing at him and telling him c'mon she's probably busy but he's very social and friendly so this conversation lasted quite a bit with her on that little phone. She was VERY nice and didn't seem annoyed a bit but I couldn't help but wonder what she was really thinking after I've read all of the retail stories on here and on blogs.

lol

Has anyone had any customers like that? He laughs at me when I always go inside and treat the pharmacy department very well. I just tell him I had a little insider information and they needed some refreshing customers. :)

I have a...... one. You name it :)
When I was working as a pharm tech. ONE "friendly-social" guy who was picking up his viagra pills, started explaining to me why he needs them and how they work for him and how they make his life happier and and and and.......I did not know what to do. I just kept saying...oh nice...good....how wonderful....really....great.....
The pharmacists couldn't help laughing at me being stuck on that discussion.

Yep. There's always some good folks at the drive-thru. You just tend to remember the idiots more...

We have an old guy who always asks for our male tech. In a LOUD voice he says, "Buddy, my wife wants a douche...wouldya git it for me? I 'caint be seen by my huntin' buddies...c'mon now!" or "Boy...would that horny goat weed git an old man like me hard?"

He cracks me up.

We probably have at least one person a month ask to buy beer through the drive through. I give them the blankest stare ever and say, "thats a joke, right?"

I guess it depends on the patient. I once spent quite a bit of time talking to a cancer patient. She seemed really lonely so I was happy to oblige.

I haven't seen her in a while.

Even after countless stories that I tell my bf about inconsiderate patients who always come to the drive thru window with their list of groceries, he still wants to go through the windows and asks the pharmacy to get him stuff that is non-pharmacy related. One of these days, I will hurt him even though I know he just wants to see how far he can push my buttons.

Your hubby seems like a real nice guy! He's welcome at my drive-thru any day!
