Line counting method TFE

How helpful is the line counting method on the real DAT? Can it be used to eliminate choices. I'm going through CDP and finding it very helpful to count lines

It will only help you eliminate 1 or 2 choices max, if you're lucky. Otherwise, you should not depend on the line counting method on the real DAT.

I agree with paymaant. Line counting can only get you so far. Its far more effective to visualize the object in 3d and actually understand what you are looking at than counting lines. Keep practicing. It will eventually get easier.

I agree with the two above me. I never used the line counting method at all, and it just seems to me like it would waste precious time. If anything, I would use it as a double checking technique to review your choice in the end if you have extra time. Visualize the object in 3d, it gets easier with practice.
