Hi, this is a really specific question, but I can't imagine I'm the only one running into it.

I am a Linguistics major completing my AMCAS application, but 'Linguistics' doesn't appear as one of the Course Classifications. Upon looking at the 'Course Classification Guide,' Linguistics is considered in 'Foreign Languages, Linguistics, and Literature (FLAN),' but in the actual AMCAS course selection, the course classification is only coming up as 'Foreign Languages and Literature.' Is this a change from last year? Does linguistics need to go into 'Other'?

Thank you very much! I hope someone has run into this same situation and can provide some guidance. 🙂

Yummy indeed, haha! But unfortunately, there is no "FLAN" in the actual AMCAS application; it just says "Foreign Languages and Literature." That is where my confusion is stemming from. I am putting my classes in Foreign Languages and Literature for now, but it's just tough because a lot of the classes that I took were computational/neuroscience-y, so don't really fit well in the description without "linguistics."

Hah, yes! Just wanted to confirm. Thank you very much for your time, this was very helpful.
