Did dorsal column trials. Sent to surgeon for perm. Didn’t see them back afterwards. Surgeon was not in my practice

Do you mean DRG implants or dorsal column implants?

As a side note, I haven’t heard of surgeons doing DRG implants. No laminectomy needed, so hard to justify a surgical DRG implant to them, and the patient.

Ah I misread your post as most of the thread discussion was about DRG.

Weird. Most surgeons I know barely want to do dorsal column implants, let alone DRG.

not much money for surgeon in DRG implant as they can’t charge for laminectomy.

Likely only a university thing.

Those aren’t most surgeons. They are two of the top neurosurgeon neuromodulation specialists in the country, pain and movement disorder.

How does a surgeon do the implant for DRG? Exactly same as trials but with less caring?

Im assuming the brain gets to a point where it no longer reads to read but just reads and let’s misreads from others be their own read…

No worries, been guilty myself bunch of times. Although I do wonder if cell phone usage affects reading comprehension in young kids. The information is presented too quickly without really slowing it down

I’m sure they are excellent.
But unless you live in the Boston-DC corridor, not relevant to the practice referral patterns most of us will see.
