i was studying lipid, one of the 4 major classes of organic compounds.
one of the definitions says it has 3 fatty acids and 1 glycerol.
one of the lipids are called phospholipids and it has 2 fatty acids and 1 glycerol.
if lipid is supposed to have 3 fatty acids, then how can we call phospholipids a lipid when it has only 2 fatty acids?
