Has anyone taken it? And if so, would you recommend it? I have two days planned for practice test. One 5 days before the test (I plan to do one of the NMBE tests, just to see where I stand before the intensive last 5 days of review), and one a week and 5 days before the test (for which I'm deciding whether to do the full lenth free test, or also do an NMBE test). Does anyone have any advice? Was the free test representative of the real thing? Was it worth doing? Does it give you an approximate score? Do you get to go over your questions afterwards? And if I'm only going to do one (or two) NMBE right before the test, which one(s) should I do to get the best idea of what the real thing will be like? Thanks so much!

I haven't taken it by First Aid gives it a B+ so that's pretty good.

Yea, I saw that, that's why I'm thinking about taking it... but it'd be nice to firsts see what experience people have had with it, as compared to the NMBE... I'd really appreciate the advice! Thanks, guys! 🙂

I have all the same questions. Someone who has done it, please let us know!😀

I am also curious how people say it comes to the NBME one's or the new Kaplan or UW simualted exams.

I'll be taking the Kaplan and UW simulated exams this month (Kaplan this weekend and UW in a couple of weeks). I'll let people know what I think when I'm done. Unfortunately that means I won't be taking as many NBME exams (Can't do it all) but I've taken #2 and will take #3 in a few weeks so I can give some comparison.

So I tried it- You can see both the rational for right and wrong if you switch to review mode. You can take as many or as few questions as you like and stop and save and can go back and forth btw test/review mode as well.

Not going to finish it right now but so far, looks like its not that bad.

Thanks!!! Please let us know when you finish it if it gives you a predictive score or just a percentage of how many you got right. Have you taken any of the NMBEs? How does this test compare?

I've only taken one NBME so far so I'm prob not the best person to ask. The lippincott questions are in that format and similar in difficulty so far- though some have a huge number of answer choices. Since I haven't finished, I can't speak to the scope of the questions yet. I'll update when I'm done.

Thanks!!! Which NBME did you take?

I took 6- there's a good thread where someone gives his/her review of it. I'll compare once I take more.

It seems like maybe this test is better to use as a tutorial and not as a simulated test. Did any of you who took this test figure out a way to take it timed and NOT have the answers show up after every question? Even when I set it to test mode, there was no timer and it still told me if the answer was right or wrong after each question. (Then if I changed to review mode, it gives the explanations as well as the right answer.) Also, I had to submit the answer after each question or else it just erases them, which is an annoying additional step.

I was wanting to take this like a practice test where it doesn't give you feedback until the end, but there doesn't seem to be an option for that. If I'm just being dense, can someone help me out?

I just did block 1. It was pretty good. A bit easy though compared to UW. But there were alot of multi-step questions which is a plus. And it's free! Thanks for the post. 👍

Is it me or do these questions seem far too easy? I went through block 1 on a whim and only got one wrong. I'm not being a smart arse or anything - my UW average is distinctly average!
