Is Loyola e-mail or regular mail (i refuse to say snailmail!)?

Has anyone heard, or know, anything about Mich State? I know they don't send out their secondary until after you pay them, and they screen, but I haven't even heard how to pay them yet.

I just got the e-mail pre-secondary from Michigan State today. They want $60 before they will even think about sending you a secondary. There are no questions on the pre-secondary, just minimal personal info (4 lines).

You refuse to call it what it is?!

Muchkin57,

Now that you've received the letter from Loyola to fill out the supplemental, did you have your application downloaded according to AMCAS? They have transmitted yet on my page.

So, Mt. Sinai has had my application for a month, and nothing has happened. . .anyone else hear from them?

Haven't heard from them either :(

Tulane doesn't screen. The website and admissions booklet that you can download from there says that ALL applicants are required to submit a secondary application. I already filled and sent mine out.

I haven't gotten anything from Mount Sinai either. I did call them up to ask if I could just go ahead and submit the secondary anyway (the pdf on their site), but the lady said that that app is old so not to use it. It's odd though because the instructions say "for applicants to class entering august 2004." She told me I must wait for their email.

Seems straight forward:

Note: Please limit responses to no more than 250 words each. The only exception to this is question number 6 that asks for a copy of the personal statement you included on you AMCAS application. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the failure of your application submission.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Questions 1-6 for both MD and MD/Ph.D. Program Application
1a. Have you applied to any medical school in the past? Yes or No

1b. Have you applied to the Keck School of Medicine in the past? Yes or No

2. Please briefly explain your interest in the Keck School of Medicine.

3. Briefly describe any unique qualities and abilities you possess which would contribute to: (A) the educational environment and (B) the diversity of the entering class.

4. Please provide a summary of your most relevant and recent leadership experiences.

5. Briefly describe your most relevant extra-curricular activities (volunteer, research, serving disadvantaged or underserved populations, etc?) related to your interest in medicine.

6. Please provide a copy of the personal statement that you submitted on your AMCAS application.

No, my AMCAS application still does not say that Loyola transmitted my application, even though I got the secondary

for SLU, they ask you may also make any other statement u wish to the admissions committee...what an odd open ended question, does this mean more or less as to why we're applying to SLU? or why we think we'd be a good fit?

can anyon give any good input on my question above?? please?? :-D

Has anyone heard anything from the Medical College of Ohio? Or does anyone from last year know what type of questions were on the secondary?

Also, does anyone know what types of questions Michigan State will have on their secondary once they send it out?

Thanks!

I left that part blank. I figured anything I've already said what I needed to in my PS.

The secondary is a cake walk. But they seem to indicate that they screen which is odd. Because I thought they would wait for my Aug MCATS since nothing else on my application really stands out. Or maybe I blew them away with my PS:D

Also what are Aug MCATers doing about the Tulane secondary. Are you waiting for your scores?

Did Med. College of Ohio come as email or regular mail?

anybody hear anything from albany?

can someone post up upstate's secondary. i got a letter from them sayin that they are missin my secondary app. but they never contacted me about the secondary. so if anyone has it could you post it.

upstate's secondary was just a form that we had to fill out, basically confirming our address and stuff
and also the classes we used to satisfy pre-med requirements

just email them and they'll send u the link

UCSF....got an email from them today saying they received my completed application and will let me know within 3-10 wks whether I get to fill out a secondary...

3-10 weeks, that's a long time to think about whether a student should fill out the secondary. After you fill out their secondary, then you get to wait again to see if they will interview you, or is the fact that you get to fill out the secondary mean that you will be interviewed?
