I started in community college and when i first started, it was hard to get classes so i took any classes i could get into. This included classes that were not transferable to my UG university. Should i list these? Are these going to be taken into account when they calculate my science GPA? and also, when do they tell me what my science GPA is, as soon as i put in all my course info or after they verify?

Yes, you need to send ALL original transcripts, including your CC and University transcript to AMCAS. If courses are classified as BCMP then yes, it will go into your science GPA. You can calculate that yourself, but it won't be official until it is verified by AMCAS and put into your AMCAS grid.

Yes, list them all when you fill in the AMCAS transcript, exactly as they appear on your copy of your original transcripts. Even though your university didn't take them into account, AMCAS will. If you're not sure what your cumulative undergrad cGPA and BCPM GPA will be before you get verified, you can figure it out with this downloadable AMCAS GPA calculator: AMCAS GPA Calculator (Revised)

Do i have to pick the schools i want to apply to and turn in my final personal statements for my application to be verified? Or can i make changes to those even after verification.

Do you think its wise to send in my application for verification before my MCAT scores come in? I felt like a fairly well, as i studied for a long time, but of course theres no way to tell before my scores come in (june 19th).

If you don't have the MCAT score yet, this is the general advice. Everything must be final on the application (activities, Personal statement, etc) but not school lists, so you can:
  • Submit AMCAS on June 1 or a very early date with 1 throwaway school. This school should be a super reach that you don't super care about anyway. This will put your app in line to be verified
  • On June 19, with the score in hand, add the rest of the schools and pay your fees
  • Everything is transferred on July 1, and you're at the front of the pile!

Also, invest in MSAR to build a school list that fits your target location, GPA, and MCAT score. Do this once and do it right. Between now and then get yourself familiar with the AMCAS rules too.

Thank you, I actually already invested in MSAR and plan on using it after i get my MCAT score and verified GPA back.
