Just submitted some abstracts as a late switcher in my now specialty of choice. I'd prefer to put them in the publications section of, "peer reviewed journal articles/abstracts (other than published)". Is this OK?

They are only listable if published or accepted for publication, but if there is also some essay space you can use, you could mention that you have submitted others

No, “other than published” can be used if the abstract has been accepted but isn’t yet published. Submitted means it has not yet been peer reviewed and could get rejected.
