Little transcript-to-AADSAS question.

My school's pre-health committee wants transcripts from all of my schools, right? So I'm about to contact the 3-4 schools I've attended with my request. Question: Is this a good time to just get the transcripts I will need for AADSAS? I will be giving them the address of my pre-health committee, why not AADSAS's address, too. I'm applying for the '09 cycle and have not opened an account with AADSAS. Is it simply too early? Just approach my past schools' registrars offices twice? TIA.

It's too early for 09. It wont open for that cycle until May. But hey, you're thinking about it now, so sounds like when the time comes you will be prepared! You're gonna have to spend a couple hours faxing in transcript requests to all your schools, but it will be worth it! Just start EARLY EARLY! Good luck

yea, aadsas doesn't open until may...it might be a good idea to put in your transcript requests in april... at my school, we had the option of telling them what date we wanted them sent out...so maybe you could do that...also keep in mind that if you're taking classes in the spring, you would have to wait for those grades to come out first...

yeah but you need the aadsas transcript matching form...

you can even get a form until after you've inputed your info into aadsas...

so really you cant send ANYTHING in until a day or two into the cycle.

Yes and its not like you can keep the transcripts and send them your self. They need to be mailed directly from the school to ensure they are official and not tampered with.

So I'll just go through the transcript Shuffle twice I guess. Once for my pre-health committee, and again for AADSAS.
