I schedule for eng literature c;asses for summer I. One of the lady told me that you should be done with the classes by spring 2016. I am so tensed. I didn't receive the email from Certiphi drug test either. I am not living in new york. What should I do? Any suggestions. Thanks

People have been admitted but thats just because they were prepharm here. Those classes will be removed anyway because orientation in the summer to initiate your offical class schedule

I had that issue too!!
I just had to leave it as no and I was a junior
The lady told me that were still an undergraduate

Once we reach 138 credits or 128 then we can apply as a graduate
It's so confusing

Omg but I'm a transfer... and I can NEVER get in touch with financial aid... I guess only thing I can do is go to the orientation and ask...

I got the same thing with the FAFSA question needing correcting; I'm not really sure what that means but I did talk to someone who told me we are considered undergraduates during P3 and P4, even if you are a transfer who already has a degree. Once we make it to the last two years we are automatically graduate students. It works out if you try and add up the credits from the curriculum for P1-P4, it comes out to the 138. She told me if you received a scholarship that specifies only applying to your undergraduate semesters (that's what I called her for) it will work for those first two years. It is definitely confusing, even she seemed a little confused by it, so I hope what she told me was correct. Hopefully during orientation they can clarify it all for us!

Try going into "campus finances" on the left column on your myliu, click "account inquiry" then click on the "activity" tab and it should be there. I had the same issue cause I sent a check through the mail and I was getting anxious that they didn't receive it. Hope that works for you!

Yes you are correct. After countless phone calls I was finally able to speak to someone who knew what they were talking about. We are still considered undergraduates...until our 5th year.

So after paying the 500$ deposit for special program, the drug screen and background check. What do we do afterwards? I didn't receive any email from LIU concerning the next steps.

You guys who have been accepted, do you mind posting your stats? I had my interview but I feel like it didn't go so well and I am hoping my grades and extracurricular will help me out to get accepted.

Stats:
3.42 GPA overall
3.75 GPA Sciences
89 Composite on PCAT with 99 in Chemistry and 90 in Biology
2 years of experience in CVS pharmacy as technician
2 years membership in Biology Honor Society
B.A. in Economics

I am very nervous about my chances.
 
Does anyone accept the award offer? What would happen after that? Any idea?
 
Anyone have insights on class registration for P3? MyLIU indicates enrollment date opened on March 25th, are we suppose to do anything or just wait for LIU?
 
Yes, I am in P3. They will register the classes for first semester. Did you complete the loan entrance form?

"They will register the classes for first semester" - can you explain more? Is this something I need to contact LIU for?

Loan entrance counseling and MPN? I didn't do it yet.

....So i got this email and i tried to sign up for the courses that it told me i needed to take but on Myliu it told me Professional phase courses are not for students that are Undergraduates....great..
 
You guys will have trouble adding 314/315 as they are supposed to be half semester classes. Youre supposed to take each one right after the other. So we have email them to correct it

The PHM 314 and 315 has been fixed. You should be able to register for both now.

Anyone mail their meningitis proof? I mailed it to the LIU Brooklyn address and got it back saying it was vacant and unable to forward.

Hi ammym92. Do you know what the next step is after we've got accepted? I filed fafsa, paid the deposit fees and registered classes. Do you know when the orientation is and when and how we work on student loans?

Hey cherry, did you mail your meningitis proof yet? Orientation is some time during the summer but im not sure what the date is. If youre taking loans then remember to take the loan entrance exam. Other than that, youre pretty much done.

Thanks a lot Ammym92. I don't know about the meningitis proof? How can I do for that? I just finished taking the loan entrance counseling and MPN in studentloans.gov website.

By the way......did you file the fafsa as an undergrad student or graduate/professional student? I only got 12500 max. per year for federal student loans as an undergrad.
 
How long after the acceptance e-mail did you guys get the admission packet? I got my acceptance e-mail on April 27th but I haven't received the packet yet. I already completed the drug screening and background checks though.

Yes....it takes a while. You can call them and find out if you want. It took me a month to get the packet.
 
I'm waiting on their office to change my major to Professional phase so I can apply for classes.

It looks like they completed the interviews for the fall. If there are still wait listed it looks grim
 
Anyone got advice for a pre-pharm student who's going to take the PCAT for the first time in July? LIU was one of the schools I planned on applying to. Also I was planning on applying as a transfer into LIU pre-pharm just to give it a shot...

Just try your best because LIU is not really relying on pcat only. They prefer from my knowledge 380-420 pcat. I'd you hit that range and have good grades and a general tech background. You are good to go.

Depending on how you're paying for school. Whether it's loans or out of pocket. You should schedule an appointment with the bursar at by going to Google and search "isfs appointment LIU"
Then make any arrangements for payment on your appointment date.
