I have a question about LLU application...any1 who hv already applied to LLU please guide...
1)On LLU website at International dentist program...how to apply shows following:

After your CAAPID application is received by LLUSD, a supplemental application invitation will be emailed to you.
Based on the review of a completed supplemental application, transcripts, board scores and recommendations, you may be invited to LLUSD for dexterity testing, with fee.

and next is application requirements which says:
To be considered, applications and all required documents must arrive at the School of Dentistry, Admissions Office, by the July 1 deadline. All material sent to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry becomes property of the Program

so this means we have to send application requirements....means all documents n then we ll get e-mail about suppliment application submission....is it so?


2) my second confusion is again about application requirement which says......Official transcripts with English translations MUST be mailed to us directly by the dental university attended

So does that mean official transcripts already in english can be send by us??

hey 009dds first you have to submit the application through caapid and when they receive your application from Caapid they will send you an e-mail to submit your supplemental application, hope this will work for you

according to mentioned information on the website official transcript should be sent by college, you can try sending notarized copies to them from here or just give them a call about this matter....

I asked about transcript and they replied they don't accept anything from student even if it is sealed. They want all documents- Transcript and degree certi. directly from University ( NOT FROM THE COLLEGE), NBDE scores from ADA, TOEFL from ETS.

there is only one degree certificate which is awarded on convocation, do they need original one... i guess its the official transcripts only that is required, plz clear the confusion

No they don't need originals. They only want to get them attested by our university registrar and send directly by the Uni.

1st option : Send your college issued transcript to your university and get it attested by university registrar.

2nd option : If your university is not willing to get it attested then provide copies of your 4years marksheets to them and they will attest them and send it to loma linda directly.

send them ece toefl and nbde scores.did u send paper or electronic lor to caapid.they told me that they take lors from caapid.what is asked in the supplemental application?plzz do lemme know as am clueless.

In your case how long it took to get supplemental application from Loma Linda? I submitted my CAAPID application on may31st and Cappid mailed it on June 2nd haven't received anything.

In their long supplemental application Lomalinda is asking for Program Essay. Is it different from personal statement? I think it's like a questionnaire. Could you throw some light if I have understood wrong?

yes those are different from personal statement.....7 or 8 ques...about ur spiritual experiences etc...
but do u know apart from all this do v need to send them anything by mail ??

Online application lets us submit photo and fees both. Other documents are going directly so I don't think we have anything left to send🙂

to ans ur above ques....its clear that u hv 2 list about ur license ( BDS,MDS) etc, any certificate courses u did and professional credentials......actually list anything and everything u did.....even CDE course....( i did same) dont know its rt or wrong

LLU's site says that their deadline is July 1st. But does anyone know how how much of a grace period LLU will grant us for our official documents to get to them? My caapid application reached them on the 29th and I received their supplementary application on July 1 so I'm already behind schedule (up *&%* creek without a paddle!). Aha Aha...

you have to submit ECE to loma linda as well, that too directly from ECE.. the deadine for every document was 1 july.. otherwise application is incomplete and not considered, they have clearly stated.

Thank you so much for your reply toothfairyqueen...but i had asked LLU if they would give we a while after 1st july n they said yes.I donno what to expect at this moment.I have send them NBDE scores,TOEFL scores,ECE report also but it would be somewhere in air right now...might reach in few days.Also 4th july is a national holiday its been a lllllllllong weekend and a long waittttttttttttttt.🙁((

I didnt get any appl complete status, but 2 weeks ago, when I checked the online appln status, it showed as all the docs received, except the photograph, which is not mandatory. As I am a reapplicant, the school told me that they will update my visa status and photograph from my last application.
