Med school applications has a lot of challenges, but I'm ready hell out of it.😎

I'm gonna be one of those taking 100% debt during post-bacc and -hopefully- during the medical school. No worries for I don't have filthy rich parents.

I'm gonna be finishing my computer science masters degree in Summer 2010 at USC, and am expecting to start my post-bacc at BM, USC, or JH, at then (haven't applied, yet). I've been receiving both Federal Student Loans (subsidized/unsub.) and GradPLUS Loan for my masters just to afford my and my family's living and all that tuition and living costs.

Since this is gonna be my first experience, I don't know how I can defer my Federal and GradPLUS loans from my masters studies in order not to start paying for them back during my post-bacc studies. Anyone who did this, please speak up a little. 😕

Besides, it seems like I'll be making use both Federal (only upto a $10,500 as far as I know) and mostly Private loans during my post-bacc, as I won't be working fulltime to afford our living.

How may I defer them altogether during the glide year, or medical school times?

Any solid experiences would welcome the most.

I believe that if you are attending a school for a minimum of six credits, schools will forward this information to financial aid clearinghouse of some sorts. The best thing to do is to check both with your lender of what you might need to do (there might be some forms that need to be filled out), and to check directly with your financial aid office at the school.
