I have a question. So, let us say we get accepted to medical school. If our school doesn't give out our loan package till June/July, should we inquire about private loans for start up money to take care of initial relocation cost? I am going to LSU-SOM (Shreveport) and we have yet to hear back information about financial aid.

No. Most private lenders wouldn't lend you anything anyway. They count towards your cost of attendance which you don't have yet. You will get your money shortly before school starts. You need to find another way around it. (Credit cards temporarily, family, etc.).
