So, I'm not accepted yet, but hopefully I will be! Anyway, I'm thinking to when I'm in school, can I take out a loan that will also cover my rent as well so that I don't have to work to pay it while I'm in school? Or am I just naive?

You can...my entire existence is financed (rent, food, clothes, tuition, satellite TV, etc...).

I'll be deep in the negative six figures by the time I graduate in terms of net worth.

try to get in to in-state school or school with cheapest tuition.. I made a mistake for choosing private..

Yes, you can.. If regular federal (unsubsidized and subsidized) is not enough, you can get Grad Plus loan (credit-based), which will give you 14,000 years + leftover from federal loan. That will give you a budget of $1416 per months. (at least, that's what I can can get).

What school did you make a mistake in choosing?

i thought it was the same tuition regardless of in-state or out-of-state b/c it's a graduate professional program

What?? If it is a private school alot of times OOS and IS tuition is the same. Publich schools however have dramatic diffrences in tuition. My state school for example: 11k in state tuition, 28k out of state tuition(UNM).

I already owe 16 grand, and this is only for my first semester. Once you get in you have to realize that school is more important than anything, and thus you are going to dig yourself in a hole. Maybe people will be crazy enough to elect McCain and all the banks will go bankrupt right about the time(2012) that I should be paying them back. Hell, the Mayan calender says the world will end in 2012, wouldn't that be some ****, 8 years of work and then the world ends.

Since you brought it up, could you explain how Obama is going to save all the banks and what is McCain going to do that will destroy all the banks? I am just curious if you know well versed in the subject, have any kind of economic background or have examined both candidates "plans" to fix our current economy? Or did the Mayan calendar tell you that McCain would cripple the banking system? Waiting on pins and needles...

I think he relies on the liberal media to make up his mind for him, haha. His post didn't make a lick of sense.

first, i'd like to say oops. I've had a long few weeks of studying and I relaxed with 10 beers, and this post is indicative of that. I am not going to hijack this thread because I decided to get drunk, check your private messages. Now we can let the talk of loans, repayment, etc. continue.
