I suggest another year of a post bacc with an emphasis on science courses. You could do this at a local college. Your undergraduate grades show you cannot handle medical school courses and you have only one good semester of a SMP to prove that you could handle medical school courses.

MCAT: 504
Undergrad gpa: 2.4c, 2.3s
SMP: first semester 2.6. 2nd semester 4.0. Overall SMP gpa 3.3
Many volunteer hours, leadership, clinical experience.

California resident, ORM. Only applying DO and broadly. I know my SMP should've been higher but I got off to a bad start in the first semester. Am I screwed for any DO?
Apply broadly to DO, especially targeting the newest schools. You know which ones are on my Bad Boy list.

If you don't mind me asking, which SMP program did you do? I know that some SMPs are considered harder than others, so that might translate into med school admissions?
