Does anyone know if AADSAS checks to make sure the LOEs are viewable when they're processing applications?

My dentist uploaded the LOE but mentioned something about it saying "cannot download" when trying to verify that it uploaded... She thinks it's just her own computer software causing her trouble viewing it, but of course it has me nervous. What if schools try to view it and it's blank or something...!

I know people have mentioned that AADSAS will reject a LOE that's not on letterhead, which leads me to believe they do glance at them to make sure everything's okay. I hope they do, considering we can't (if we've waived our rights).

Can anyone confirm or provide any insight?
 
I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but if you check the status of your letters from the menu on the right side, an uploaded letter will say "completed" as its status and one that hasn't uploaded yet will still say "new".

Best course of action is having the dentist download it again and try opening it on a different computer.

I got the email that the evaluation has been submitted, and the status shows as complete, but I just want to make sure there isn't actually a problem with the file...

Gotcha. Then ya I would do what whitepapertree says. Maybe bring in your computer or phone or something and see if she can open it. I would say call AADSAS but that's probably a lost cause.
 
Something like this happened to one of my profs. She emailed their support email address and someone was able to complete the upload for her on their end. For some reason it kept glitching when she tried. They were really quick to reply to her as well.... although that was very early now. Their response time might be a little slower now but it's still worth verifying.
 
In case anyone else has this same issue in the future...

I called both AADSAS and TMDSAS and was able to get through to a representative for each.

The TMDSAS rep said that they check each LOR as they process it, so if there was a problem, they wouldn't accept it on the application portal as complete.

The AADSAS rep said usually they do NOT look at them, they just send them off to schools, who would then contact you if something was wrong. However, the representative I talked to was really helpful and she asked for my ID # and which letter I was worried about. She let me know she could see it perfectly fine on her end, so everything was good.
